Apple Home shows device offline duration in iOS 26 / iPadOS 26 / macOS 26
Apple’s latest developer betas for iOS 26, iPadOS 26 and macOS 26 add a small but useful change to the Home app: it now displays how long a HomeKit device has been offline. The offline duration appears alongside the device’s status, helping users and admins troubleshoot connectivity and device health more easily.
What’s new
- OS versions: iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS 26 (developer/public betas in 2025)
- Where: In the Apple Home app, next to devices marked offline
- Why it’s useful: Quickly see how long a device has been unreachable — helpful for diagnosing network, power, or device issues.
This update is part of broader HomeKit and Apple Intelligence improvements announced for the iOS 26 cycle, aimed at better device insights and smarter on‑device processing.
