Qualcomm has unveiled its Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip, an upgrade from the previous Gen 3, promising improved performance, display options, and video quality in low-light environments. The new chip supports WFHD+ displays with a 2,900 x 1,300 resolution, running at 144Hz refresh rate. It features a Low Light Vision capability, enhancing video quality, previously reserved for higher-end chips. The 8-core Kryo CPU now peaks at 2.7 GHz, and the Adreno GPU offers significant performance boosts. AI functionality includes the ability to take 200MP photos and real-time translation and transcription across multiple languages, alongside Quick Charge 4+ Technology. No phone makers have officially declared plans to integrate the new chipset, but brands like Honor, Vivo, and possibly Realme are expected to adopt it in upcoming models.
