Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl — PS5 release set for Nov 20, 2025
GSC Gameworld has announced that Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl will arrive on PlayStation 5 on November 20, 2025, exactly one year after its PC and Xbox launch. Pre-orders are available on the PlayStation Store.
PS5 features & enhancements
- DualSense support: adaptive triggers, haptic feedback and gyro aiming.
- PS5 Pro enhancements: improved resolution, better shadows and reflections, and additional technical upgrades.
Editions & pricing
- Standard — $60
- Deluxe — $80
- Ultimate — $110
Development history & launch state
The game had a long, troubled development cycle spanning roughly 14 years, including funding problems, an engine change, and major disruption after Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine — which tragically cost the studio a team member. When the game launched in 2024 it shipped with numerous bugs; GSC Gameworld has steadily released patches since then. With the extra time before the PS5 release, the console version is expected to benefit from those fixes and optimizations.
