AirPods Pro 3 hands-on: refined ANC, heart-rate sensing, live translation, no price hike

Apple announced the AirPods Pro 3 at its iPhone 17 event. The new model brings a refined design, improved active noise cancellation (ANC), a built-in heart-rate sensor, live translation features, and — notably — no price increase over the previous model.

Hands-on impressions

In a brief demo focused on ANC, the new AirPods Pro 3 performed very well in a noisy room just outside the main theater — a harsh environment that’s ideal for testing cancellation. I couldn’t test prolonged heart-rate monitoring or live translation during the quick demo, but ANC improvements stood out immediately. More thorough testing is planned.
