Ecovacs and Bosch develop built-in under-sink docking solution for robot vacuums
German outlets report that Ecovacs and Bosch have collaborated on a compact built-in docking solution for vacuum-and-mop robots that can be integrated directly into a kitchen cabinet under the sink. The reported clearance is just 84 mm, allowing the robot to be hidden away from view.
What we know
- Design: Built-in dock integrated into a standard under-sink cabinet (reported height: 84 mm).
- Collaboration: Reportedly a joint effort between Ecovacs and Bosch (reported by ifun.de).
- Status: No official product page or press release from Ecovacs or Bosch has been found yet; retailers do not currently list a dedicated built-in model.

There are advanced Ecovacs models with self-cleaning docks (external stations) such as the DEEBOT X8 Pro Omni. These require floor space and are not built into cabinetry:

Why it matters
If confirmed and released, a built-in docking station would make robot vacuums more discreet and integrate them into cabinetry for aesthetic and space-saving benefits. It could appeal to owners who want minimal visible hardware in modern kitchens.
