iPhone 17: Bigger display, A19 chip, 120Hz ProMotion and more
Apple unveiled the iPhone 17 with a larger 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR display featuring ProMotion up to 120Hz, Ceramic Shield 2, and thinner bezels. The front-facing selfie camera is upgraded to 18MP with a square sensor and improved Center Stage stabilization. The rear uses a Dual Fusion dual 48MP camera system (main + ultra wide).
Under the hood is Apple’s A19 chip (3nm) with a five-core GPU and more memory bandwidth for on-device ML. Apple promises up to 30 hours of continuous video playback, faster charging (50% in ~20 minutes with a powerful USB-C charger), and doubled base storage of 256GB. The phone starts at $799, with preorders on Sep 12 and shipping Sep 19.
