macOS 26 “Tahoe” Adds Built-in Magnifier (Lupe)
macOS 26 “Tahoe” introduces a new Magnifier app (“Lupe”) that brings the iPhone/iPad Magnifier experience to the Mac. The app is included system-wide and can be launched from Spotlight or the Applications folder. It provides live zoom, image capture and text extraction to assist users with low vision.
Supported Cameras
- Built-in FaceTime camera on Macs
- Continuity Camera — use an iPhone as an external camera for higher-quality zoom
- Other camera inputs supported by macOS may also work as external sources

How to Open the Magnifier
