Paramount to Make Live-Action Call of Duty Movie — Potential CoDCU
Paramount has signed a deal with Microsoft and Activision to develop, produce and distribute a live-action Call of Duty feature film. While the agreement currently covers one movie, industry sources indicate Paramount may expand the property into multiple films and TV shows — a potential Call of Duty cinematic universe (CoDCU).
Details about the cast, creative team, or which specific game/era the film will adapt have not been announced. With more than 30 mainline games in the franchise, possibilities range from classic war dramas to sci-fi epics based on the franchise’s futuristic entries.

- Paramount recently completed an $8 billion merger with Skydance and has been on an acquisition spree.
- The studio has reportedly lured the creators of Stranger Things away from Netflix and secured exclusive UFC rights in a multibillion-dollar deal.
- Paramount plans to eventually release up to 20 films per year as it doubles its theatrical output.
