Pixel Buds Pro 2 update 4.467: Adaptive Audio, gesture controls & more

Pixel Buds Pro 2 get Adaptive Audio, gesture controls and more in update 4.467

Google has started rolling out firmware update 4.467 for the Pixel Buds Pro 2. This release brings several new features focused on adaptive noise control, safety and hands-free interactions:

  • Adaptive Audio — an ANC mode that automatically adjusts audio levels to balance music/podcasts with ambient sound so you stay aware of your surroundings.
  • Loud Noise Protection — detects sudden loud noises (sirens, construction) and reduces their impact to protect your ears.
  • Head gesture controls — nod to answer calls or start dictation for text replies; shake your head to decline calls or dismiss texts for a truly hands-free experience.
  • Improved Gemini Live performance — advanced audio processing prioritizes your voice and reduces background noise so the Gemini Live assistant can hear you better in noisy environments.

The update typically downloads while your buds are connected and installs when the earbuds are returned to their case. Expect about 10 minutes to download and another 10 minutes to install.
