Ubiquiti expands UNAS NAS lineup for home and small offices

Ubiquiti has updated its UNAS family with four new NAS models: UNAS 2, UNAS 4, UNAS Pro 4 and UNAS Pro 8. The lineup ranges from compact desktop units that can be powered via PoE to rackmount models with multi-gig networking — a clear move to address not only professional users but also small offices and private users.

Highlights

  • UNAS 2: entry-level model with 2 drive bays + 2x M.2 NVMe.
  • UNAS 4: compact 4-bay desktop NAS with 2x M.2 NVMe, 2.5 GbE and PoE+++ support (90W adapter included). Reported specs: Quad-Core ARM Cortex-A55 @1.7 GHz, 4 GB RAM. Price listed: ~$379.
  • UNAS Pro 4: Pro-grade 4-bay model (details TBD).
  • UNAS Pro 8: 2U rackmount with 8 SATA bays, 2x M.2 NVMe, 3x 10GbE (SFP+/RJ45), 16 GB RAM and redundant PSU support. Price listed: ~$799.

Who is this for?

Ubiquiti targets a broader audience: pros who need rack-ready solutions (Pro 8) and smaller offices or home users who want a compact, PoE-powered NAS (UNAS 4). The inclusion of UniFi Drive software and versatile networking options makes these devices useful for backups, media servers and small-scale virtualization or container workloads.
