volumeHUD restores the classic macOS volume HUD on Tahoe

With macOS Tahoe Apple replaced the large, central volume HUD with a much smaller corner popup that can be hard to notice depending on your background. volumeHUD is a small open-source utility that restores the old on-screen volume overlay so you get clear, familiar visual feedback when changing volume.

What is volumeHUD?

volumeHUD displays the classic macOS volume heads-up display whenever the volume changes. Its lightweight, free, and the source is available on GitHub.

Notes

This tool addresses the UI change introduced in macOS Tahoe. If you prefer the new minimal popup, you dont need to do anything. Otherwise, volumeHUD is a simple way to bring back the previous HUD.
