Apple to Sell PS VR2 Sense Controllers Separately for $250 — Coming Nov 11
Apple quietly revealed that the company will begin offering Sony’s PS VR2 Sense controllers on the Apple Store starting November 11, priced at $250. Previously, the controllers were only available as part of Sony’s $400 PS VR2 headset bundle — now customers can buy them on their own for use with Apple devices running visionOS 26.
The move comes alongside support in visionOS 26 for PS VR2 Sense controllers, which Apple says will enable more immersive gameplay on the second-generation Vision Pro. The controllers provide six degrees of freedom (6DOF) motion tracking, finger-touch detection and haptic feedback (rumble) for richer interaction.
- Price: $250 for the PS VR2 Sense controllers sold separately
- Availability: Apple Store, November 11
- Compatibility: Vision Pro (with visionOS 26) — adds controller support for more immersive apps and games
- Vision Pro highlights: second-gen model features the M5 chip and an optional Dual Knit Band for improved stability and comfort
This decision may lower the barrier for Vision Pro owners who want a traditional handheld controller experience without buying Sony hardware’s full VR headset. That said, at $250 the controllers remain a premium accessory — especially when paired with Apple’s $3,499 Vision Pro.

Discussion: Would you pair PS VR2 Sense controllers with a Vision Pro for gaming or productivity — and is $250 a fair price for the controllers alone?
