Ford Cuts Prices on 2026 F-150 Lightning — Up to $4,000 Off
Ford has reduced prices on select 2026 F-150 Lightning trims, confirmed by Ford’s official materials. The cuts apply to higher-end packages and coincide with the expiration of the $7,500 federal EV tax credit at the end of September.
Trim pricing & changes
- STX: Starts at $63,345. Replaces the XLT; now rated at 536 hp and about 290 miles of range.
- Flash: Gets the full $4,000 cut — new price $65,995.
- Lariat: Reduced $2,000 — new price $74,995 (was $76,995).
- Platinum: Remains at $84,995 (no cut).
Why it matters
With the $7,500 EV tax credit no longer available for many buyers, automakers are finding other ways to deliver value, including direct price adjustments. Competition — including new lower-cost EV variants from Tesla and planned affordable Ford EVs built on the Ford Universal EV Platform — is reshaping pricing strategies.
Context & next steps
Ford also announced plans for a midsize all-electric pickup expected around $30,000 in 2027, built on a shared platform and using prismatic LFP batteries. Buyers should compare trimmed features and range when evaluating value, and check local dealerships for availability and final pricing.
