Razer Kiyo V2 and Kiyo V2 X: Affordable 4K and AI features for creators

Razer has announced two new creator-focused webcams: the Kiyo V2 and the Kiyo V2 X. Both are aimed at streamers and content creators who want better video quality without the premium price of Razer’s Kiyo Pro line.

The Kiyo V2 (about $150) uses an 8.3MP Sony STARVIS image sensor to capture true 4K HDR at 30 frames per second. It offers a 93° field of view and adds AI-powered features like auto-framing (via integration with Reincubate’s Camo Studio), background removal and adaptive lighting correction. The webcam also includes a privacy shutter and autofocus.

The Kiyo V2 X (about $100) targets budget-conscious creators: it records up to 1440p at 60fps, 1080p at up to 60fps and 720p at up to 60fps, with an 83° field of view. It doesn’t include the V2’s AI framing features, but it retains essentials such as autofocus, a privacy shutter, a built-in microphone and FoV customization through Razer Synapse.

  • Prices: Kiyo V2 X — $100; Kiyo V2 — $150 (available now).
  • Kiyo V2 highlights: 4K HDR @ 30fps, 8.3MP Sony STARVIS sensor, 93° FoV, auto-framing via Reincubate Camo, adaptive lighting correction.
  • Kiyo V2 X highlights: up to 1440p @ 60fps, 1080p @ 60fps, 83° FoV, privacy shutter and built-in mic.

Positioned as creator tools, the two webcams give users options: the V2 focuses on higher-resolution capture and AI-assisted framing for a slightly higher price, while the V2 X offers solid performance at a lower cost. If Razer’s performance claims hold, the V2 could outpace some competitors near the same price point.
