Fubo-NBC blackout: what’s missing, how to watch this week’s NBA and your options

Fubo blackout: NBC & NBCUniversal channels pulled — how to watch this week’s NBA

TV screen showing sports broadcast

Fubo and NBCUniversal are in a carriage dispute that has left NBC and many NBCU channels dark on Fubo since Nov. 21. That means viewers on Fubo currently can’t access NBC, USA, Bravo, Telemundo, NBC Sports channels, local NBC affiliates and related streaming feeds — with no public return date yet.

Fubo told subscribers it’s contesting NBCU’s proposed pricing and packaging terms; NBCU says it offered the same terms it agreed with other distributors. While negotiations continue, Fubo has said it will apply a $15 credit to affected customers’ accounts if the blackout persists into the December billing cycle.

Which channels are missing

The blackout affects a wide slate of NBCUniversal properties, including national channels (NBC, USA, Bravo, CNBC, E!, Syfy, Telemundo, NBC Universo), NBC Sports regional networks and many local NBC affiliates. Sports feeds such as NBC Sports NOW and Golf Channel are also unavailable on Fubo.

How to watch this week’s NBA and other key programming

  • National NBA on NBC games (e.g., Knicks vs. Celtics) — available on Peacock, DirecTV and Hulu + Live TV where NBC is carried.
  • Local NBC broadcasts — some local markets may be available on alternative live TV services like DirecTV or Hulu + Live TV.
  • Special events, reality premieres and sports coverage on Bravo/USA/Golf — check Peacock or other live TV platforms for availability.

Options for affected viewers

  • Use streaming alternatives: Peacock, DirecTV and Hulu + Live TV carry NBC in many markets and can stream NBC/NBA coverage.
  • Temporary signups: many services offer short free trials or promotional deals — useful if you only need access for a game or event.
  • Check local stations: some games or shows may still stream on local NBC affiliates via their apps or websites.
  • Contact Fubo support: watch your email for credits and updates; Fubo has stated it will credit $15 if the blackout continues into December.
  • Consider canceling: Fubo does not offer a pause option, so if you want to stop paying while channels are missing you’ll need to cancel your subscription.

What to watch for next

Negotiations can resolve quickly or drag on. Watch both Fubo’s status page and NBCUniversal announcements for updates. If the blackout continues, expect more customers to try alternative platforms or request refunds/credits.

Discussion: Are you switching services because of this blackout, or sticking with Fubo and waiting for a resolution? Share your plan and why.
