FromSoftware’s acclaimed game, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, is being adapted into an anime series titled ‘Sekiro: No Defeat’. The series is set in Sengoku-era Japan and will follow Genichiro Ashina and the silent protector, Sekiro, as they navigate a world of conflict and divine mystery.
The anime will be directed by Kenichi Kutsuna, known for his work on ‘One Punch Man’ and ‘Naruto: Shippuden’, ensuring a high-quality adaptation. With character designs by Takahiro Kishida and a promise of hand-drawn animation, fans can expect an artful depiction of the game’s vibrant yet intense atmosphere.
Streaming will be available on Crunchyroll globally (with exclusions in Japan, China, Korea, Russia, and Belarus) beginning sometime in 2026. This adaptation is a collaboration between Kadokawa Corporation, Crunchyroll, Qzil.la, and ARCH.
