Google has unveiled the Pixel 10 series, celebrating its 10th generation of smartphones. The base Pixel 10 introduces a notable advancement with a dedicated 10.8MP camera offering 5x optical zoom. This feature is a first for a standard Pixel phone, providing users with enhanced photography options that were previously exclusive to premium models. The phone also sports a new Tensor G5 chip, promising a 34% CPU performance boost and 60% faster TPU, along with a brighter display reaching 3,000 nits.
Additional features include 12GB RAM, storage options of 128GB or 256GB, and a larger 4,970mAh battery. Compared to competitors like the Galaxy S25, Pixel 10 offers a longer zoom, bigger battery, and faster charging capabilities.
The Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL enhance these specifications further with improved RAM and storage capacity, as well as advanced software features like Pro Res Zoom, now capable of capturing images at up to 100x magnification thanks to AI enhancements.
Launching with Qi2 wireless charging support, Google introduces “Pixelsnap” accessories that include innovative magnetic mounts and charging solutions.
The Pixel 10 lineup is available for pre-order starting at $799, with official releases set for August 27.
