Apple Music: Import playlists from other streaming services expands to more countries

Apple Music can now import playlists from other streaming services in more countries

Apple introduced a feature in May allowing users to transfer a music library and self-created playlists from other streaming services to Apple Music. Initially available only in Australia and New Zealand, the tool has now expanded to the following countries:

  • Germany
  • France
  • United Kingdom
  • Brazil
  • Canada
  • Mexico
  • United States

What it transfers: saved songs, albums and user-created playlists (not third-party editorial playlists). You can start the transfer from the Apple Music web app at music.apple.com (sign in, click your profile, choose “Transfer Music”) or on iPhone/iPad go to Settings → Music → Transfer Music from Other Music Services.

Official Apple support documentation with instructions: Apple Support — Transfer music to Apple Music

Additional coverage and confirmation of the country expansion: MacRumors article.

If you need step-by-step help for a specific source service (Spotify, etc.), tell me which one and I can provide detailed guidance.
