MediathekView 14.3.1 — What’s new
MediathekView 14.3.1 (released July) brings focused improvements for macOS and general stability and usability updates.
Highlights
- Two dedicated macOS builds: Intel (x86_64) and Apple Silicon (ARM) with automatic detection.
- Minimum system requirements raised: macOS 11 (Big Sur) or newer; Windows 10 or newer for Windows users.
- Migration to Java 24 and reduced JavaFX usage to improve performance and compatibility.
- UI fixes and redesigns: filter dialog rebuilt with Java Swing, dark mode and context-menu fixes, overall stability improvements.
- Browser alternative: mediathekviewweb.de offers a web-based interface to browse and stream public broadcasters without installing the desktop app.
