Eufy MarsWalker & Omni S2 — IFA roundup
Eufy introduced the MarsWalker at IFA — a novel carrier robot that transports compatible Eufy robot vacuums between floors by carrying them up and down full flights of stairs. It automatically recognizes common stair types (straight, L-shaped and U-shaped) and uses four control arms plus a track-drive system to securely grip each step and avoid slips.
How it works
- Four adaptive control arms dynamically conform to stair structures.
- Track-drive system grips each step for secure transport.
- Automatically detects stair type and carries the vacuum between floors, dropping it at the base station as needed.
Compatibility and caveats
- Confirmed to work with Eufy’s Omni S2 (announced alongside MarsWalker).
- Eufy has not yet published a full list of compatible models; third-party vacuums are not supported at launch.
- Price and broad availability have not been confirmed by Eufy.
Omni S2 (companion robot vacuum)
Eufy also showcased the Omni S2, which integrates with the MarsWalker. It features adaptive wheels to climb thresholds and an aromatherapy system to disperse scents while cleaning. Exact pricing and availability details are still pending from Eufy.
What to watch for
- Final compatibility list from Eufy — will it support more models?
- Price vs. buying multiple vacuums for a multi-floor home.
- Retail availability and listings (Amazon/other retailers) once Eufy confirms launch details.
