Canon EOS C50 announced: compact 7K cinema camera
Canon has revealed the EOS C50, its smallest cinema camera to date, targeting social creators and hybrid filmmakers. Despite its compact 1.5 lb body, the C50 packs pro-level video and photo features.

- First Canon cinema camera with 3:2 open-gate recording and simultaneous crop recording (output 4K plus 2K social formats: 9:17, 9:16, 1:1)
- Pro features: optional top-handle XLR inputs (2 full-size), zoom rocker, waveform/peaking, C-Log3, dedicated start/stop button, Dual Pixel AF and AI subject tracking
- Media: SD UHS-II + CFexpress slots; timecode terminal. No in-body stabilization (relies on lens optical/electronic IS)
- Photo performance: 32MP stills and burst shooting up to 40 fps
