LG + Xbox: Cloud Gaming Comes to Car Infotainment
LG is integrating Xbox Cloud Gaming into its webOS Automotive Content Platform (ACP), allowing passengers in select internet-connected vehicles to stream and play full Xbox games directly on their infotainment systems.
What you need
- Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription (to stream Game Pass titles and play owned games)
- A stable internet connection (vehicle data plan or hotspot)
- A compatible Bluetooth controller (e.g. Xbox Wireless Controller)
Supported games & examples
LG and Xbox mentioned titles such as Forza Horizon 5, Don’t Starve and Mafia: The Old Country. Availability depends on Game Pass library and licensing.
Safety & driver restrictions
Both companies emphasized this feature is for passengers — the system is intended to prevent gameplay by the driver while the vehicle is moving. The issue of in-motion play has been controversial (Tesla faced an investigation over a similar feature in the past), so manufacturers are prioritizing safeguards.
