Hollow Knight: Silksong — First Patch Notes, Nerfs & Fixes

Team Cherry has released the first post-launch patch for Hollow Knight: Silksong. The update brings a slight difficulty reduction for early bosses, multiple bug fixes, and several balance tweaks and reward increases.

Highlights

  • Difficulty changes: Early bosses Moorwing and Sister Splinter received slight nerfs (lower damage / adjusted attacks).
  • Enemy & economy tweaks: Reduced damage from Sandcarvers; small price reductions at mid-game vendors.
  • Reward increases: More rosary rewards from relics, psalm cylinders, and courier deliveries. These increases are retroactive.
  • Bug fixes: Fixes for cloakless state, floating/stuck issues, courier delivery access, quest progression soft-locks, and other stability fixes.
  • Availability: Public beta branch is available on PC (Steam/GOG) now; full rollout expected mid next week.

Release & Purchase

Hollow Knight: Silksong launched on September 4 and is priced at $20.

Notes

The patch responds to player feedback about early-game difficulty; Team Cherry has indicated more fixes are in progress. If you want the fixes immediately, opt into the public beta on Steam/GOG.
