VirtualBuddy 2.1: UTM import and improvements for macOS 26 (Tahoe)
VirtualBuddy 2.1 is now available. The update introduces several usability improvements and — notably — the ability to import macOS virtual machines from the UTM emulator, simplifying the process of running macOS 26 (Tahoe) in a VM.
What’s new
- Import UTM macOS VMs by dragging a UTM VM file onto VirtualBuddy or using “Open With → VirtualBuddy”.
- General UI and workflow improvements to make creating and managing macOS VMs easier.
Notes & known issues
- Some users report a macOS bug where the UTM file must be opened twice for the import to finish — if an import fails, try opening the file again.
