Hades returns to Game Pass on Sept 19; Hades II launches on Switch & leaves Early Access
Good news for Game Pass subscribers: Hades (2020) is returning to Xbox Game Pass on September 19, 2025. It will be available on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard (cloud/console/PC). This coincides with the Hades II release on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 and its 1.0 launch (leaving Early Access) on Windows and macOS the same day.

- Sept 17, 2025 — Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III arrives on Game Pass Standard.
- Sept 18, 2025 — Frostpunk 2 available for Game Pass Ultimate members on Xbox Series X|S and via cloud.
- Sept 19, 2025 — Hades (2020) returns to Game Pass; Hades II launches on Switch & Switch 2 and leaves Early Access on PC/macOS.
Why it matters
Hades is a critically acclaimed roguelike known for tight combat and deep, character-driven narrative. If you missed it the first time it was on Game Pass (Aug 2021–2022), now’s a great chance to play before jumping into Hades II.
