Gemini Arrives on Google TV — TCL QM9K First to Ship
Google’s Gemini AI assistant is officially available on Google TVs, starting with TCL’s new QM9K QD-Mini LED series, which are appearing in stores now. Google says Gemini will reach additional devices later this year, including the Google TV streamer, Walmart’s onn 4K Pro streaming device, select Hisense models and more TCL TVs.
What Gemini on TV Does
- Natural-language conversations via voice: say “Hey Google” or press the remote’s mic.
- Find shows based on preferences: e.g., “Find me something to watch with my wife — I like dramas, she likes light comedies.”
- Summarize previous seasons or pull up reviews and related videos.
- Answer non-TV queries and suggest YouTube/video guides (great for recipes, learning new skills, or quick explainers).
