OpenAI for Germany — SAP, OpenAI & Microsoft launch sovereign AI offering for public sector (from 2026)
SAP, OpenAI and Microsoft have announced a joint initiative called “OpenAI for Germany”. The program aims to make it easier for German federal and local administrations, as well as research institutions, to use advanced AI tools while meeting strict data sovereignty, privacy and compliance requirements. The rollout is planned to begin in 2026.
