Amazon unveils redesigned Echo Show 8 and Echo Show 11 with Alexa+
At its invite-only Devices & Services event in New York, Amazon revealed redesigned Echo Show smart displays — the new Echo Show 8 and Echo Show 11 — alongside an updated AI-powered assistant, Alexa+.
Key highlights
- Echo Show 8: ~8″ screen, redesigned body, centered camera, improved microphones and noise cancellation, advanced sensors for adaptive UI and presence-awareness.
- Echo Show 11: ~11″ screen, same family upgrades with more screen real estate and powerful hardware.
- New hardware: Amazon says the devices include custom silicon, better microphones, and advanced sensors to improve performance and make the displays “fade into the background.”
- Alexa+: The AI-enhanced assistant is designed to be more conversational and retain memory of prior interactions for more contextual responses. Early previews have shown improved multi-step task handling, though AI limitations remain.
