Amazon Devices & Services 2025 — Alexa+ expands across Ring, Vega, Kindle and new Echo line
Amazon used its 2025 Devices & Services event to push Alexa+ deeper into the smart-home ecosystem. The new features span security cameras, smart TVs, Kindle devices and a refreshed Echo lineup built around new AZ3/AZ3 Pro silicon.

Alexa+ is Amazon’s generative-AI assistant upgrade for a more conversational experience. The feature set shown at the event highlights both the promise and current limits of generative AI — useful automations and content-aware features, but still evolving in reliability and scope.
Ring cameras
Alexa+ Greetings will be available on Ring’s new cameras (2K & 4K). With Ring’s on-device image recognition, the assistant can:
- Greet known friends and family automatically
- Ask unknown visitors why they’re there
- Give delivery instructions to couriers

Vega smart TV
Amazon’s Vega OS includes Alexa+, letting you ask the assistant to jump to specific scenes, pull up related content and offer personalized suggestions. It also supports live sports queries and highlights.

Kindle
Kindle Colorsoft and Scribe 3 will be able to send stored notes and documents to Alexa+ for conversational summaries and queries. The integration is expected early next year.
