AVM launches FRITZ!Box 5690 for fiber and new FRITZ!Repeaters

AVM has announced the market launch of several new devices: the FRITZ!Box 5690 (fiber router) and new repeaters including the FRITZ!Repeater 2700 and 2700 Outdoor. While AVM previewed these devices earlier, the company says they are now being offered for sale. Availability is currently rolling out via ISPs and some vendors; not all models are yet widely listed in AVM’s online shop.

Key specs

  • FRITZ!Box 5690 — Fiber router for AON (1 Gbit/s) and GPON (2.5 Gbit/s). Wi‑Fi 7 support (note: base 5690 lacks the 6 GHz band), 2.5 Gbit LAN port. Estimated RRP in Germany ~319 €.
  • FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro — Pro/tri‑band variant adds 6 GHz support, SFP slot and extra features; availability varied via providers.
  • FRITZ!Repeater 2700 / 2700 Outdoor — Mesh repeaters to extend coverage; 2700 RRP ~149 € (Germany).

Availability

AVM plans to broaden retail availability through 2025. Initially the devices are often sold via ISPs and select retailers; some listings may only appear later on mainstream stores.
