Deezer enables cross-platform playlist sharing
Deezer has introduced a universal playlist sharing feature that lets users share playlists which can be opened on other major streaming platforms — including Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube Music. The system uses automatic track recognition and matching to find equivalent songs on the recipient’s chosen service.
How it works
- When you share a Deezer playlist you now get a universal link.
- The link redirects listeners to the matching tracks on Spotify, Apple Music or YouTube Music.
- An automatic matching engine attempts to find and correctly map the corresponding songs on the destination service.
Key details
- Announcement timeframe: October 2025.
- No account on Deezer is required for recipients to open the playlist on another service.
- Deezer aims to reduce platform lock‑in and make sharing and discovery easier across services.
