Microsoft tightens Copilot integration with OneDrive
Microsoft has expanded OneDrive with deeper Copilot integration to make file management smarter and faster. New AI-driven features include automatic summaries, version comparison, and audio summaries for on-the-go listening.
Key features
- Automatic file summaries — Get concise overviews of documents, presentations, images and PDFs to find key information without opening every file.
- Version difference detection — Compare up to five files at once to quickly spot changes and differences between versions.
- Audio summaries — Copilot can generate short audio summaries of Word docs, PDFs and Teams meeting recordings so you can listen while commuting.
- Interactive Copilot chat — Ask Copilot questions about your files and receive synthesized answers drawn from multiple documents.
Availability
These features require a Microsoft 365 subscription with a Copilot license and are rolling out via the OneDrive web interface and Windows apps. Availability may vary by tenant and region.
